Branding agency in Miami
We work as a branding agency in Miami for companies whose name is fine but whose brand has turned into a folder of files made by six different people. The visible part is the logo. What decides whether anyone remembers you is everything underneath it, and that is the part we build.
- More than 10 years of experience
- More than 200 clients
- Barcelona, Miami and London
What a branding agency in Miami is actually for
A brand works when a customer recognizes you without effort and has a rough idea of what to expect from you. That does not come out of a good looking icon. It comes from deciding what you say, how you say it and what it looks like while you say it, then holding that line for years without improvising.
Most of the work that reaches a studio arrives the same way. The company grew, picked up pieces along the road, and today the sales deck, the website and the Instagram grid look like three separate businesses. Clients usually describe that as a taste problem. It is not. Every loose piece forces the customer to start reading you from zero.
Strategy first, then the visual system
No two jobs are identical, but the skeleton repeats more than you would expect.
- Immersion. We talk to whoever decides and whoever sells, who are almost never the same person. We go through what you already have, what your competitors are doing, and what customers say about you when there is no recording running.
- Strategy. Positioning gets closed here: what territory you hold, against whom, in what tone of voice. Skip this and everything after it is decoration with a budget attached.
- Concept and identity. Symbol, typography, color, graphic system, and the rules that connect one to another. We bring closed directions with the reasoning behind them instead of a rack of twenty options for you to choose by taste.
- Applications. The identity gets tested where it is going to live. Signage, packaging, the site, presentations, social. Anything that falls apart in that test gets fixed before handover, not after.
Brand identity design services and what you end up holding
The style guide is what keeps an identity alive after the studio that designed it walks away. Without one, the first person who needs a flyer at seven in the evening opens a template and stretches the logo until it fits the space.
- Symbol construction, approved versions, minimum size and clear space
- Color palette with the values for screen, print and vinyl, which are three different sets of numbers
- Type family, hierarchy and examples applied to real pieces rather than to lorem ipsum
- Graphic system: grids, textures, how photography gets treated, and custom illustration when the project calls for it
- Misuse pages, which in our experience end up being the most consulted part of the whole document
- Editable and closed files, which are yours
Miami branding that has to travel
A lot of companies based here sell into Latin America, into the rest of the country and into Europe, sometimes in the same week. A brand built for only one of those rooms starts leaking the moment it walks into the next one.
We look at that early because it is cheap to fix in week two and expensive to fix after the signage has been printed. A color that reads as neutral in one market already belongs to a category leader in another. A typeface that feels current here can read like 1994 somewhere else.
When hiring a branding company in Miami is the wrong move
If what you need this quarter is a logo to put on an invoice and nothing is going to be built on top of it, this is not the job to hire. That is a shorter piece of work, and it is better to say so before starting than halfway through.
Same answer if the real problem is that nobody knows you exist. Branding sharpens what people find when they look for you. It does not manufacture demand on its own, and a rebrand aimed at fixing a sales problem tends to produce a better looking sales problem.
Two projects in the portfolio show the difference: the visual identity for Museo Parhaus and the identity for Micro Festival.
A studio that works from Barcelona, Miami and London
Eje Creativo works from Barcelona, Miami and London. There is no walk in office. In person meetings are arranged by appointment, and the bulk of a project runs remotely with scheduled sessions and delivery in phases.
How we work
-
Free consultation
We work out what you need, who it is for and what it has to achieve. You leave with a budget range and a proposal for where to start.
-
Scope in writing
The exact pieces, versions, review rounds and dates. You know what you will pay before anything starts.
-
Design in stages
Concept, development and final artwork, with an agreed review at the end of each stage and one person at the studio who answers.
-
Delivery and follow-up
Production-ready files, the usage rules in writing, and follow-up with the printer whenever print is involved.
Frequent questions
What is brand identity, exactly?
It is the part of the brand you can see and touch: symbol, typography, color, graphic system, and the rules that hold them together. Strategy comes first and decides what all of that is supposed to be saying. Do only the visual half and you end up with a wrapper and nothing inside it to wrap.
What goes into a brand style guide?
Enough for a printer, a media agency or your own marketing hire to apply the brand without calling you first. Logo construction and clear space, color values per medium, type hierarchy, image treatment, and a misuse section. For a one person company that document can be short. For a company with several locations and an agency on retainer, it cannot.
Can we see brand identity examples before we commit?
Yes, and it is a reasonable thing to ask for. We show relevant work on the first call rather than mailing out a generic deck. The useful question is not whether you like the pictures, it is whether the problem looks anything like yours.
What decides how big a brand identity project gets?
Mostly the number of applications it has to cover, and whether strategy is settled or still has to be worked out. How many people sign off matters more than clients expect. One decision maker moves at a different speed than a monthly committee.
Do I need a branding agency near me?
For the design work itself, no. Files get reviewed on a screen wherever you happen to be sitting, and phase validations run fine on a call. Proximity helps with workshops for a large internal team, and with press checks when something is going on paper. Those we handle by appointment in Miami, Barcelona or London.
Tell us what shape your brand is in
Send the context: what you sell, what you have now, and which part keeps breaking. We answer with a read on the problem and a proposed scope. The first call is free, and there is a short qualification form so we show up already knowing the basics.
